Our Values

Our Vision

We envision a future where the veterinary industry has caught up to the human industry with technology and innovation, making access to care easy and convenient, and having a positive impact on the quality of life for everyone involved (pets, pet parents, and the team serving you).

Our Mission

Simply put, our mission is to take the headache out of veterinary care. Make it fun (when appropriate), easy, enjoyable, and education-based – for pets, pet parents and team members alike.

Our Values

We believe strongly that everything we do boils down to three simple principles.

Treat people and pets well.

We believe in building long lasting relationships within our team, with our clients and within our community. We do this through our commitment to honest communication, holding ourselves to the highest standards, and demonstrating compassion and respect in all that we do.

Practice Gold Standard Medicine.

Our commitment to Gold Standard Medicine and best business practices allow us to ensure that our team has the tools and support they need to deliver top notch care to our community of pets. We invest in top of the line equipment, new technologies, and ongoing team training.

Be adaptable.

Personal and professional adaptability drives us to embrace a forever-learner mindset where we can adopt new technologies, allowing us to overcome obstacles, improve access to care, and significantly improve the quality of life for our team and pet community.

Our Why

We believe in treating people (and pets) well above all else. We believe in quality. And we believe in being open minded and adaptable as a means to improving the world around us.

We believe that through embracing diversity, creating equity, being inclusive, and keeping a growth mindset that we can build a rockstar team that really shakes things up.

Our “Why” boils down to this:

People who enter the veterinary world generally do so because they have huge hearts and a genuine desire to help others, but their quality of life is often sacrificed. It’s an industry that is slow to change, slow to innovate, and the demands are high.

The burnout rate in the veterinary industry is among the highest of any industry, as is the suicide rate. We want to do our part to change this.

Our #1 goal is to create a team-centric culture. We will strive to create a culture where people (and pets) are prioritized, where every team member feels valued, and where we will leverage technology and innovation as a way to improve both access to care for our clients and quality of life for our team members.

If we can support our team in creating a life they love both in and out of work, everyone wins. If we can be part of the movement that brings down the burnout and early retirement rate in our industry, and most importantly the suicide rate, what an accomplishment that would be.

Dr. Taylor Francher’s dreams of becoming a veterinarian started much like any other, when she proudly declared to her parents at nine that she wanted to be a bunny doctor. She later graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016, and has been in the field since high school. Originally from Arizona (and a UA Wildcat at heart), this desert rat was excited for an opportunity to return to the desert southwest after graduation. She has been practicing in the Las Vegas area since graduating from NCSU. Her early career was broad and encompassed both cats, dogs, and most exotic pets. After starting a family with human children, Dr. Francher realized she needed a change of pace from the go, go, go of most veterinary clinics. With this change she currently only sees cats and dogs, although desert tortoises and rodents still hold a special place in her heart. Dr. Francher prefers to spend her free time with her husband and two young children. She also has a furred and feathered family with an English setter Lucille, a Boston terrier Frederic, a green-cheeked conure Besos, and three guinea pigs: Hazelnut, Pumpkin Spice, and Vanilla Bean. When she gets the chance, Dr. Francher loves to solve jigsaw puzzles and read, typically about the microbiome and parenting. She also loves a good fantasy book.

Dr. Monaco, an Army veteran, started working in her first animal hospital over 20 years ago as a Veterinary Assistant. Over the past 12 years, she has worn many hats as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, including positions in ER, Specialty, General Practice, and a non-profit spay-neuter group.  At her most recent company, she was able to combine her passion for practicing best medicine with her passion for team mentorship and training, as she took on the role of Medical Director for a 4-hospital practice group. It’s no secret that the veterinary industry is facing some major challenges. The field is burdened with the highest suicide rate, is at the top of the list on burnout rates and has an overall supply shortage of doctors and licensed veterinary technicians. Taking learnings from her Masters degrees in public health and economics, along with best practices from Fortune 500 companies, she used her position as Lead Doctor and Medical Director to help improve the culture and, ultimately the happiness, of those on her team. Driven by the purpose of helping a greater number of people in the field, and the possibility of joining a movement that would have a greater impact in the industry overall, she took the leap to go into business for herself. Dr. Monaco partnered with a small team to bring a new vision of veterinary practices to life.

He then attended Cornell University where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (2006, DVM). After completing his studies at Cornell, Dr. Ireifej participated in an intense one-year small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Angel Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts (2007), followed by two rigorous one-year small animal surgical internships at Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) in Plainview, New York (2009). Dr. Ireifej achieved his board certification in small animal surgery by completing a three-year small animal surgery residency at LIVS (2012), and subsequently became a Diplomat for the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS). After operating for almost 10 years at LIVS, Dr. Ireifej elected for warmer weather, and transplanted to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2016. In Las Vegas, Dr. Ireifej became a staff surgeon at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center (LVVSC). In 2017, he began flying across the United States, performing surgeries at a number of emergency and specialty hospitals in need of surgical assistance. This was followed by a Chief of Surgery position at United Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Silicon Valley, California. Managing their three locations, Dr. Ireifej and his team successfully cared for dogs and cats in the Campbell, Mountain View, and San Jose areas. In 2018, Dr. Ireifej joined TrueCare for Pets in the Los Angeles, California area as Chief of Specialty, where he was instrumental in morphing the after-hours and weekend emergency hospital to a successful 24-7 emergency and multi-specialty veterinary hospital. While the size of the hospital tripled, Dr. Ireifej instituted hospital-wide protocols, managed the surgery, internal medicine, and oncology departments, and became a leading force on social media platforms. In 2020, Dr. Ireifej changed gears in his already illustrious career, finding a novel and state-of-the-art means of reaching concerned pet owners and their ill pets worldwide, VetTriage. Dr. Ireifej currently serves as their Chief Medical Officer. Shadi has been published in scientific and medical journals and enjoys lecturing to a variety of audiences.
